The big bass are eating this morning, and eating good

The bass on Murray are feeding better this morning than they have all week. This was to be expected with the predicted change in weather, but you never know until you know. Well, we know now.

This morning, Matt Arey has boated perhaps the biggest bass of the tournament so far, a 7- pounder. Mike Iaconelli has made an early run up the leaderboard, with a limit worth 16 pounds, and plenty of room to cull up considering he has two 4-pounders and three 2s in the boat.

Hunter Shryock has already caught a good one on his Choppo topwater, stating that this is the earliest he’s had a bite on it all week. He also just boated one close to 4 on his wacky rig.

Matt Robertson and Brock Mosley have also put quality bass in the boat. But the size of these two fish isn’t as noteworthy as is how the bass got their baits. Both fish had their lures “choked”, to the point the anglers had to get the pliers out to fish their baits out of the bass’s mouths.

“Gosh he swallowed it,” said John Cox, as he just boated his first fish of the day. The big bass are eating this morning, and eating good.
