Day 3 of the SiteOne Bassmaster Elite at Lake Okeechobee is off the pace by a longshot from what we’ve seen the last two days here.
Carl Jocumsen has a 5-pounder in the boat, the biggest bass of the day so far and Jocumsen’s only bass. Marc Frazier has a 4-pound, 12-ounce bass, his only fish of the morning as well.
By 9 o’clock, several anglers have already had a limit for the last two days. There’s only one limit on the board as of 8:42, Will Davis Jr with 8 pounds, 8 ounces. The shift in the wind and the early cloud cover have derailed the game plan of many anglers this morning, for now at least. The bite will pick up as the day goes on, but it’s tough out there right now.
