The deeper bite seems to be turning on at the midway point of Championship Sunday, where we saw the early morning action dominated by anglers fishing shallow. Lowen, LeHew and Hudnall were all dropping big ones in the boat fishing shallow right out of the gate. As a result, this trio rocketed up the leaderboard early.
But as we pass the midway point of the day, that shallow bite seems to be slowing down just as the deeper bite is picking up for leaders Brandon Palaniuk and Lee Livesay. This has reshuffled the leaderboard and now BassTrakk pretty closely reflects what we saw to start this final day of competition.
It will be interesting to see which pattern will prevail with the vastly different weather we’re seeing here on Championship Sunday.
