Schmitt and Robertson with the most room to grow

Bryan Schmitt and Matt Robertson have had a rough start to Day 2, but the good news is that means they can both get right in a hurry.

Schmitt currently sits in 12th, with only three fish today for 10-pounds. But he’s only 7-5 off the lead. So a couple 3- and 3/4- pound bass would add directly to his weight and put him in contention for first.

Robertson has fallen from the Day 1 lead down to 27th currently with only two small keepers for 4-12. But again, he’s only 10-8 off the lead, so three bass over 3-pounds has him right back in the hunt with a mere 15-pounds compared to his 22-plus on Day 1.

Now I’m not suggesting 3- to 4- pounders are just jumping in the boat out on Pickwick right now. But for these two, they know where that kind live and if the bite turns on they could each be right back in this thing in a matter of a few casts.
