A storyline that has echoed louder and louder as each day passes at the St. Lawrence River has been the Smallmouth Century Club. It would be the first time in all of bass fishing history that an angler would break 100 pounds over 4 days with exclusively smallmouth in their tally.
Przekurat needs 22-15 to get it done today and it would be his smallest weight of the week. An accomplishable number no doubt.
One other piece of history Przekurat could make today is a record that has stood since 2007 when it was broken twice that season. Przekurat could be one the youngest Elite Series Champions. Something he and roommate Alex Redwine were curious about, thankfully so.
In 2007, Derek Remitz set the mark at 24 years, 8 months, and 11 days old. A few tournaments later, Casey Ashley took the victory at Smith Mountain Lake to raise/lower the bar to just 23 years, 4 months, and 9 days.
With a win today, Przekurat is 23 years and 26 days old today, with plenty of history on his mind.
