Giddy. There’s no better word to describe Elite Series Rookie Jay Przekurat this morning. He boated a 6-pound smallmouth a few minutes ago and between giggling and trying to catch his breath, I was concerned for a minute he might pass out.
The Falcon Rods Rookie of the Year race leader has shown incredible poise and maturity this week. But as Davy Hite said, “Whether you’re 23 or 63, catching a 6-pounder on the final day of an Elite Series event will make you giggle.”
