There’s still a lot of fishing left to go on Oahe, as we’re only in the first quarter… of planned competition at least.
With strong forecasted winds posing a threat to this event going the distance, every bite is critical while these anglers are on the water. Their standing at the end of any day of competition here could be twice as valuable as normal, should the following day be canceled.
With little knowledge of the fishery, unpredictable weights and uncertainty on how many days the anglers will get to compete here this week, it’s unlikely will see a lot of conserving fish like we’re used to seeing in other tournaments. It’s pedal to the metal for most of these guys right now as they catch what they can, while they can.
