So much attention has been aimed at Joey Cifuentes III this morning, and rightfully so. But there have been several more notable stringers put together as well. Many anglers have caught big bass this morning, like Josh Stracner, Shane LeHew and Matt Arey seen here. And Carl Jocumsen has ridden his 8- pounder from early this morning (the current Phoenix Boats Big Bass leader) all the way into 13th.
Cifuentes has an estimated 20 pounds even. Tyler Rivet in 2nd has 18 and ½ in the boat. Then Kyoya Fujita has put together the biggest bag of the day to move into 3rd, with 22 pounds, 4 ounces. Mark Menendez has caught a 20-pound bag to climb from 49th to 11th. Then there’s Darold Gleason, Cory Johnston, Derek Hudnall and Bill Lowen who all have estimated bags around 18 pounds. A great first half day of fishing here as anglers vie for the Top 10 cut to fish tomorrow.
