A hoody, a jacket and bibs, that’s the fashion statement this week from Seth Feider and the other anglers on Oahe. With nights forecasted around 60 degrees and a nice cool breeze out on the water, these guys are dressing like it’s late fall… in mid-August.
Feider just mentioned something we’ve heard a couple times already here this morning— the bigger fish are looking up. So instead of pitching a Dropshot to them, which the bass would then have to chase down to the bottom, we’re seeing lots of anglers using Damiki rigs, jerkbaits and swimbaits instead, all of which can be fished above these suspended bass.
