Scott Martin has slipped up into 2nd place on BassTrakk, less than a pound off the pace set by Chris Johnston. Martin was around a lot of fish on Day 1, but had a hard time getting the schooling fish to commit. It’s uncertain if Martin is fishing the same way we saw him fish on Bassmaster LIVE during Day 1, but he’s certainly putting the bass in the boat today.
With a 3-12, 3-6 and 3-5 in the boat, Martin still has room to improve upon his 15-15 with a couple more culls. Backing up a solid Day 1 performance of 13-7, Martin has a chance to lock himself into the Top 5 going into Day 3 with a big bite or two this afternoon.
