Son of former Elite Series Pro Robbie Latuso, Logan Latuso is dropping bombs late on Championship Sunday. In the span of 3 minutes, Latuso boated a 7- pounder and 5-pound, 4-ounce bass to make a run at the lead. Doing what we’ve been looking for all week, punching.
Punching has played little to no role in this one so far. But Latuso is showing what the big weight can do during post-frontal conditions, punching into thick mats of vegetation where ornery bass await below.
Latuso currently sits in second. But Tyler Rivet added a 4- pounder moments ago to retain the lead. Rivet hasn’t been seeing nearly as many fish on his forward-facing sonar today as he has the last few days. But things are picking up here late.
At some point, the big ones had to bite. How many more will be caught during these last three hours?
