Steve Kennedy just added a 7- pound, 4- ounce beast to his bag, culling out a bass that weighed less than 2- pounds.
Kennedy has made the point all day to be super careful as he fights the fish out of thick dollar lilies.
“This is where I messed up yesterday.”
On Day 1, Kennedy lost serval key bites as he tried to “horse them” out of the thick dollar lilies. Today he has had much better luck by keeping pressure on the fish and then letting them wrestle themselves free from the cover each time they get bogged down.
Kennedy’s calmer approach has garnered him 23- pounds on Day 2 to match his Day 1 weight, with a couple hours left to fish.
