Carl Jocumsen is the latest angler to make a serious push. Jocumsen is on the heels of a fantastic tournament at Okeechobee, where he swam a jig to finish 6th. With very similar shallow vegetation on Seminole, he likely has that bait in his hands again this morning.
So far, he’s caught a 5- and ½- pound bass early this morning and just added a 6- pounder. He has a 12-inch keeper in his bag as well, leaving a lot of room to cull with another big bite. Jocumsen currently sits a little south of 20 pounds, less than 2 pounds back of front runner Mike Iaconelli. With one big bite, he can move way out front.
