Mike Iaconelli is having a fantastic year. Through five events, Ike has positioned himself in 6th in the Progressive Angler of the Year race. He sits in 6th here as well this morning, with four fish in the boat and, “One is special.”
That special one weighs 2 pounds, one of the 20 bites Ike knows an angler will need to have a shot at the win here this week.
“They’ve definitely changed a little bit. And I have to figure out what that is.”
The water is high in Ike’s hole, which he did not expect. But since he made a long run to get here, it’s not as simple as picking up the trolling motor and running and gunning other areas. Ike said he has to put his head down now, and figure out how to catch them.
