Hank Cherry just made it back to the ramp, after a rough ride in. Cherry told the viewers on Bassmaster LIVE that the 14 minute run he made this morning took 1 hour and 6 minutes to come back from.
“I’m pretty sure we saw some 6-footers,” remarked the two-time Classic champ. The wind is howling now. The weigh-in will be dry, but rain is imminent and forecasted to last through the morning, when anglers will be met with a 10 mph wind that has blown all night out of the south. It was as picturesque of a start to an Elite as you could hope this morning, but these guys have their work cut out for them for the next day or so.
