Greg Hackney is one of the best, if not the best flipper on the water today. And he’s getting good bites this morning. But he’s having trouble keeping them hooked up.
Hackney acknowledged that he’s just going to lose some flipping thick vegetation.
“You just have to hope they get it deep in their mouths.”
The reason Hackney has this hope, when a bass gets his bait deep it prevents the hook from being exposed and catching on the reeds around it. That’s what just happened as another good fish got hung up in a mat, flopped around and tore free.
