Elite Series Pro Austin Felix spent a little time fun fishing with Ben Milliken in Texas prior to the Lake Fork Elite, and it paid off.
He caught his personal best bass weighing 9- pounds, 4- ounces on a 15- inch swimbait. “I haven’t had any bites on it on Fork, yet…” reported Felix when I asked if he’d thrown it on Fork at all.
Texas is… different. There are few places in the country where you can throw a bait well over a foot long. But Texas is one of those places, and Lake Fork is perhaps the greatest gem of all the lakes in the Great State. As the competition nears, Felix plans to have “Moby” on deck. May have to break his PB again to get a bite on it, but that’s certainly possible on Fork.
