Elite Series Rookie Will Davis Jr started the SiteOne Bassmaster Elite at Lake Okeechobee with a bang last week, sitting near the top of the leaderboard on Day 1. As long as he makes it back for weigh-in, he will have done so again here for the start of the Gamakatsu Bassmaster Elite at Lake Seminole. Davis sits in 4th right now with 21 pounds, unofficially within a pound of leader Carl Jocumsen.
Jocumsen rallied after a tough start at Okeechobee to finish in 6th. But he’s taken an entirely different approach here today, absolutely wrecking them with a few minutes and plenty of room still to cull. He leads on BassTrakk with nearly 22 pounds as Day 1 winds down.
