Bassmaster Classic Champ Jeff “Gussy” Gustafson told Bassmaster LIVE commentator Ronnie Moore he’s spent all but three days on the water of this near two-month layoff between Elites.
“Subtle, subtle, subtle,” said Gussy as he boated his fourth keeper, having watched the fish eat his dropshot on his Humminbird MEGA Live Imagining. The bass was hanging close to the bottom, but just barely messed up and revealed itself to Gussy, one of the best on tour at reading his electronics.
It’s not a surprise that forward-facing sonar has certainly been the most key piece of equipment this morning, with most of the fish catches we’ve seen come while the angler is staring at the fish on his graph.
