Jason Christie just boated three fish in about 15 mimutes on a hollow body frog. He’s throwing a much smaller frog than he’d typically be throwing. Christie admitted he’s not usually a fan of small baits, and that he looked at this frog with a fair amount of skepticism when one of his bait sponsors first asked him to test it out. But after he reluctantly tied it on, his first bite came quickly and it weighed 8 pounds, making him an instantaneous fan of this small bait anyway.
It looks like he’s throwing the popping version of the Booyah Pad Crasher Jr, and it’s working really well at drawing strikes from the bass that roam these waters. Where he might be able to get a few bites on a full-size frog, he’s able to get far more bites and ensure the bass can eat the bait well using the Jr version. And, he knows the big ones will certainly bite it too.
