The final day of the final Elite of the 2022 season is now underway. Sunny skies greeted the anglers for the first time in a few days, and there’s no wind.
Many of the anglers are already resorting to worms and slower techniques, where they were able to aggressively fish topwaters, vibrating jigs, and swimjigs the last couple days.
One angler who is catching them on a swimjig still, Keith Combs has a couple good fish in the well already.
Comb’s performance is a very interesting storyline to watch today. He’s the only angler in the top 10 whose ticket into the 2023 Bassmaster Classic hasn’t already been punched. But thanks to Bassmaster’s “win and you’re in” rule for this single Elite of the season, Combs could still make the Classic with a win today.
Combs started the day in second, he’s currently in first with two good ones for 6-pounds.
