Day 1 leader Brandon Card just dropped a bomb on the rest of the competition. With only three bass in the boat, Card would have typically fallen 20 places or more on Day 2 of an Elite. But just moments ago, Card was still hanging round in sixth with only those three fish to show for the majority of a day’s work.
Adding a 5-2, Card abruptly shot back into second, only 1- pound, 5- ounces back of projected leader Chris Johnston. And remember, this was only Card’s fourth fish of the day. So a 2- pounder could put Card back on top, depending on how accurately the duo has estimated their weights.
