It appears as though we’re in the middle of one of those special feeding windows as day one of competition dwindles down.
Ed Loughran III just dropped a bomb on the leaderboard with the second biggest bass of the day, a 7-14. He’s now one of the 6 anglers with estimated bags over 20- pounds.
Cody Huff also added a 4-4 at 2:31, just minutes ago, to move into 7th. Clifford Pirch boated a 7-6 at 2:14. David Fritts caught his biggest bass of the day, a 4-4, just under an hour ago. And Skylar Hamilton boated a 6-0 at 2:35.
The fishing is definitely heating up. The first flight is due in at 3:30 Eastern, just under an hour from now. But the later flights have nearly two hours to go. Expect more movement late.
