Drew Benton is catching the right kind this morning, with two that look to be better than 3- and 1/2- pounds already.
Benton is fishing below the Onalaska Spillway, a popular hole here on the Mississippi River. It was a little too popular for Benton on Day 2, who tried to fish here for a few minutes but bailed because of other boats in the area.
This morning Benton ran straight here, feeling confident with his early boat number that he could setup on it like he needed to. He was right. Two big bass, a few close non-keepers and a giant walleye already for Benton. This place is loaded.
