There’s been a lot of comparison made between the 2022 Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at the St Lawrence River and previous events held here and around the country.
Looking at Day 1 of this event up against Day 1 of the 2021 event (which was held on the same week last year), we see some amazing stats come to light.
The total weight caught by 95 anglers on Day 1 of the ‘21 event was 1,573-pounds, 3-ounces. Yesterday, five fewer anglers brought in 1881-pounds, 7-ounces. That’s an average increase of over 3-pounds per five fish limit.
When you divide 1,881-pounds by 90 anglers, we see that 90 anglers averaged over 20-pounds apiece yesterday, almost 21. That means a 4.18 pound bass on average came across the scales on Day 1, 450 times.
Unbelievable.
