Brandon Cobb, Kyle Welcher and Jay Przekurat occupy 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the Progressive Angler of the Year race. These three anglers are in 1st, 2nd and 3rd on the St. Lawrence River today. Unbelievably tight race. Przekurat has the unofficial lead on BassTrakk with 22-12, Cobb sits five ounces back. Welcher’s BassTrakk hasn’t registered this morning, but we have a LIVE camera with him and he has a weight estimated in the 21- to 22- pound range as well. He’s the lone angler of the three to go into Ontario, and has already matched the pace of the other two with an hour less of fishing time.
Joey Cifuentes III entered this event with a 15 point lead on Kyoya Fujita in the Dakota Lithium Rookie of the Year race. Fujita sits one pound ahead of The Cowboy today, the two in 4th and 5th on the day respectively with near 20 pounds apiece in the boat. Tighter than tight as well.
