Jacob Foutz and Cooper Gallant are both off to a great start this morning, sitting in first and second respectively on BassTrakk. Foutz is in dire need of a good event to turn his season around, sitting in 97th in the Progressive Angler of the Year race. Gallant is also looking for a strong finish to keep his Bassmaster Classic hopes alive, sitting in 43rd in AOY points, a couple spots in the Classic cut at the moment.
Each year, a handful of anglers gaze with eager anticipation towards “the northern swing”, when the Elites head towards smallmouth country late in the season. Both Foutz and Gallant were no doubt amongst those hopefuls this year. Good start for both.
