Hook & Look TV’s Kim Stricker provided this outstanding interview with a Michigan aquatic lake management professional who explains the complex issues biologists face when they try to achieve the optimum amount of aquatic vegetation for fish habitat but must balance it with other lake uses. Managing aquatic vegetation rather than eliminating it is the key to a healthy lake and healthy fisheries. But aggressive invasive weeds like Starry Stonewort make the job much more difficult. As always, when lake management plans are being developed, we urge B.A.S.S. members to get involved in the process and demand a seat at the table.
