Congressmen Tom Emmer (R-MN, CD6) and Rick Nolan (D-MN, CD8) have introduced an amendment (Amendment #71) to the 2019 House Interior Appropriations Bill, blocking Secretary Ryan Zinke from ordering a mineral withdrawal and protecting the Boundary Waters.
Wilderness Area from sulfide-ore copper mining. The amendment is scheduled to be voted on next week, the week of July 15.

This amendment requires that the Department of Interior ignore science and specific provisions in place to protect fish, wildlife and public land. Don’t let Congressmen Emmer and Nolan tie the agency’s hands.
