Photos: Behind the Curtain at University of Montevallo

Take a Behind the Curtain look at one of college fishing's hottest programs - the University of Montevallo!

In the past few seasons on the Strike King Bassmaster College Series, one thing that has stayed consistent is the success of the University of Montevallo.
The University of Montevallo, located just south of Birmingham, Ala., has built a roster full of anglers that come from different parts of the country.
In this photo gallery, take a look at sights from around the beautiful campus as well as an inside look at one of the “fishing houses.”
The University of Montevallo fishing team has a phenomenal setup where anglers can store their boats as well as a building that is designed for the university’s Outdoor Scholars program.
Each boat has an individual slot that is covered with access to power.
This tends to be a popular hangout spot for anglers on the team.
Recently, the university added a new building that serves as a target range for the archery team.
Inside the Outdoors Scholar building, you will find a wide variety of trophies, rings and other Montevallo Fishing team memorabilia.
Easton Fothergill’s College Bracket Champion trophy sits atop the trophy shelf.
As well as Easton Fothergill and Nick Dumke’s Team of the Year trophy.
Now, let’s head into one of the many fishing houses. This two-story house is where team members Easton Fothergill, Nick Dumke, Beau Browning and Brenton Godwin live.
The first thing you notice when you enter the house is a ping pong table that is used for everything but playing ping pong. This table is used primarily to hold fishing equipment.
Cull clips, tackleboxes and bait-making materials clutter up the table.
Of course there’s a number of fishing rods laying around.
Browning goes for some pizza. How old is the pizza you might ask? Who knows…
Another table, another place to lay random fishing tackle.
The living room serves as the hangout spot where the four anglers sit around and watch bass fishing on TV.
Easton Fothergill shows off his Team of the Year trophy from 2023.
As we have seen during the St. Croix Bassmaster Opens season, Fothergill is far from done when it comes to collecting trophies and checks.
Fothergill’s teammate and fishing partner, Nick Dumke, shows off his room.
Dumke made sure to make it rain with Rapala Crush City plastics.
On to Beau Browning’s room.
Browning has a great appreciation for his window air conditioning unit.
Brenton Godwin is proud of his hat collection.
