The weights are very tight here in the last minutes of the 2022 Bassmaster Classic. So, what happens in the case of a tie? For an Elite tournament where the weigh-in is on the banks of a lake or river, there would be an immediate fish-off. The tied anglers would go out with a B.A.S.S. official who would record the time and weight of the fish. The first angler to catch a legal bass outside the no-fish zone would be the winner.
However, for the 2022 Classic a fish-off would happen on Monday. That’s because the arena is in Greenville and the launch venue is in Anderson. By the time the anglers got back to Anderson today it would be dark. So launch would take place at 7:00 a.m. on Monday.
A legal bass needs to be at least 12 inches long at Lake Hartwell.
