If there was ever any doubt that Harris Chain would be awesome fishing with all the things from weather, moon etc., coming together for a perfect storm it only takes a glance at the data to show how much better the fishing has become in just a week’s time.
Last week on St. Johns River on the first day of the derby, BassTrakk catches revealed 53 keeper catches from 7:30 a.m., to 9 a.m.
Today those numbers are more than doubled during the same time with about 116 keeper catches. And they continue to come in at a steady pace.
Of course last week we had a cold front, which just doesn’t play well in Florida. The temperatures today at the moment are as warm as most of this field saw last week.
Will that doubling of the numbers continue? Doubtful, but even so this event is starting hot and heating up by the minute.
