Frank Talley spent his morning in Lake St. Clair’s Anchor Bay, and he caught 18 to 19 pounds there.
And he said that’s a conservative estimate.
But he just made a 20-mile run up the St. Clair River in hopes of getting rid of a 3 1/4-pound fish.
“I came all this way just to fish this one spot,” he said. “I need to catch one more good one, and I caught some good fish here on practice.”
He also is trying to conserve the pattern he found in Anchor Bay.
“I have to: I’ve been catching fish shallow, and there just aren’t that many of them,” Talley said.
