David Mullins is on the same drift he started on this morning. As soon as he arrived in the area this morning he dropped his trolling motor, dropped his power poles to slow his drift and got to work.
Typically you see these guys go through an area. Pick up and start over. We’ve seen all the guys mentioned earlier do that pick up and start over thing. Mullins though has yet to pick up.

It’s hard to decide what he’s looking for. But he’s definitely searching longer and harder than most.
He’s using a Garmin PanOptix to scan the area and we can see him dropping on targets he sees. But the only takers have been this 3 1/2-pound class fish.
It’ll be interesting to find out the strategy as this derby progresses.
