David Mullins just put his fourth keeper in the livewell and he just missed a 4-pounder. That’s the news from photographer Seigo Saito, who is on the tournament leader.
Mullins knows he must cull up big on this Day 2. If he just missed a solid keeper in that cull-up range the chances are he’ll connect later on.
The day is early and Mullins is in good shape to do well under the current conditions. The lake is lower than normal due to the bridge construction projects and that’s part of the reason why.
“I’m catching good fish where I’ve not caught them in years and the lower water has a lot to do with that.”
Stay tuned for more updates.
