Rojas has finished his limit. Once again with a fish that needed to have more weight to it.
Hite is holding strong at 12-7. Rojas has now moved to 7-14, virtually 5 pounds back yet again.
It will of course be easier to whittle away at that lead for Rojas than for Hite to pull away. Both anglers need 3-pound plus fish to make a move.
Rojas is actually on the spot where he caught that average yesterday. It’s the first time he’s been able to get on it in the last hour or so. Each time he’s motored by, a local angler is sitting on it.
One actually pulled up about the time Rojas got here. He didn’t stay long. Rojas caught his fish on the first cast. And the presence of cameras everywhere might not have been part of his daily routine.
