My padres today, Steve Bowman and Capt. Jim Burks, are estimating there are eight or nine other bass fishing tournaments taking place on Lake Guntersville today. So an Elite angler is competing for spots with 52 other Elites but also with a bunch of other tournament anglers. The ramp here at mid-lake alone had three tournaments launch from it this morning. This little area where David Walker is fishing has a half dozen tournament anglers within sight. But Lake Guntersville is so big, it can handle it. This being April, it's prime-time for bass fishing.
We though about several other bass factories that might be this busy today, including Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend, Falcon and Kentucky Lake.
