The further we've gone up the James River arm of Table Rock Lake, the more Elite Series pros we've seen. But it's hardly crowded. There's an angler around every other bend.
There's good news and bad news on the weather front. The good news? A southerly wind started picking up at mid-morning. Brian Snowden, who lives in nearby Reeds Spring, said yesterday that wind is the most important weather factor on a clear Ozark lake like this.
"Ten to 15 miles out of the south is perfect," Snowden said.
It appears to be doing exactly that now.
The bad news? We just heard thunder in the distance and darker clouds are coming in with the southerly wind. The storms that were first predicted to hit last night and this morning are apparently on their way.
