Rojas’ last stand will actually take place in the main river channel. And at this point with 15 minutes or less, every cast is a Hail Mary.
He’s 5 pounds down and it’s not likely he can make that up with one bite. He needs a wad of 2- to 3-pounders to pull up on what was earlier his last stop on his milk run.
The clock is ticking and the fat lady is clearing her throat. But wait. He’s hooked up.
While I was typing all that, Rojas is hooked up. The fight showed us this is the largest fish of his two days. It takes him to the side of the boat where he has to wrestle it in the boat with a death grip.
He’s just cut a swath out of his 5-pound deficit. I’m waiting to here from Trip Weldon how big it was.
And in that time he hooks up again. But loses the fish.
Trip reports it was 3-3. Another like that and Rojas’ Hail Mary may pay off.
