Mike Iaconelli called it “the best bite I’ve had in a long time.” We’re assuming that statement was heavy with sarcarsm, but the 2-pound, 4-ounce bass was the biggest in the first 30 minutes of the afternoon session.
“Two-pounders are like gold,” Iaconelli said. When the only other bass caught in the first half-hour were two 15-ouncers by Ish Monroe, yeah, two-pounders are like gold.
