“Ike approved”

Confidence is a big thing in bass fishing. So much so that your day can change in one, single cast.

After coming up empty in his first few stops, Iaconelli made the turn into this creek area and settled into an area of docks which we discussed in our last blog entry.
When that area could only produce one keeper bite, albeit a three-pounder, Ike decided to bail. “We’re going over here and try one thing,” he said, “and if that doesn’t work, we’re going to bail.”

Well, for now, it’s worked. Since making the one move, Ike’s added a four-pounder and a two-pounder to his day.

With those latest additions, the Rapala Pro has settled in a bit and slowed down. He’s made a bait change which may help. It’s still too early to tell.

One thing’s for sure, he has confidence again and a confident Ike is often a dangerous Ike.
