Ray Hanselman just landed his fourth keeper. His judge weighed it in at 1 pound, 10 ounces. That’s his smallest fish of the day, with the others being 5-13, 3-7 and 7-9, for a total of 18-7. That puts him in second place, just 14 ounces behind Josh Bertrand, with room to grow.
We asked Hanselman why he thought he was doing so well. “Travis reminds me of my home lake,” he said. The Texan then told us his home lake is Amistad. “This is like Amistad without the grass. Both have super clear water.”
Hanselman is doing something different than any of the anglers we’ve seen today. We don’t want to give away his secrets, but stay tuned. If he does well this week, more will be revealed.
