At 12:30 p.m. ET BassTrakk showed Buddy Gross in 4th place with 18-11. According to Andy Crawford, Gross is fishing the same area where fellow Elite Series pro Matt Robertson won the 2018 Bassmaster Team Championship.
In the December event, Robertson caught limits weighing 25-10 and 31-10 from the area located 150 yards offshore in 10 feet of water, measuring 40 by 50 yards. He said there was no visible structure there; just a hard spot on the lake’s bottom.
Coincidentally, Robertson was in 8th place in BassTrakk with 15-12, although not fishing in his winning area.
