First, Gerald Swindle put a solid 12-pound, 10-ounce limit in the boat, then Paul Mueller landed what appears to be the biggest bass of the week, entered in BassTrakk as a 6-pounder. The bite has been different every day at Neely Henry. Today is no exception. Mueller mentioned the riprap bank where he caught the big one this morning had been too shallow earlier this week. Apparently, it’s now just right.
In leading this tournament after three days with 43 pounds, 8 ounces, Wes Logan set a pace of 14 1/2 pounds a day. If that holds, it will take 58 pounds to win. Before the tournament began, Logan predicted it would take 55 pounds to win. Asked about it yesterday, Logan stuck with his prediction. Tournament leader Swindle has 51-12 and Mueller 50-10 at 8 a.m.
