Feider fishing for all the trophies

Seth Feider was in 30th place on BassTrakk at 11:30 this morning. One hour later, Feider moved into the Top 5, and he’s having a smallmouth bass blast. He said this morning that he had a chance to “put a nail in the coffin” on the Angler of the Year title today. He’s done that now. And he has put himself in contention to take the trophy in this event.

“Yes, sir! Yes, sir! We’re gonna be alright,” said Feider, when he landed the first of a series of big smallmouth bass that sparked this rally. And he just keeps catching them. He’s up to 17 pounds today on BassTrakk.

Feider has finished between 6th (twice – at the Sabine River and Lake Fork) and 29th in the previous seven Elite Series events this year. He has finished second twice at Lake Champlain – last year and in 2017. It would be quite a cherry on top of the sundae if Feider would take the blue trophy in this one. He’s fishing pressure-free and easy now.
