The segmented nature of Classic practice differentiates it from any other tournament. Anglers have to base their event in what was happening last week but with an eye toward future conditions.
Today is a chance to confirm what they know or what they found. Brandon Cobb says he is “just going fishing” not hitting anything he might fish during the tournament. “I’m not going to change 20 years of fishing out there and I’m not going to run out of ideas.”
Half of his goal will be to avoid being seen on the juice. He would rather not have the warming trend: “With 49 degree water I’d know some sneaky stuff, but this weather evens the field,” he explained.
