He set the hook on several other bass that day that came unbuttoned. But he’s overcome those frustrations with two consistent days on the Harris Chain, weighing 17-1 on Day 1 and 17-3 on Day 2.
Martin has started his day with this 3-pound, 12-ounce bass. Making Championship Sunday’s top 10 is definitely within reach. In the tightly bunched standings after Day 2, Martin was only 11 ounces out of 10th place and 6 pounds, 3 ounces behind leader Buddy Gross.
