Can Martin make Sunday final?

It’s been a frustrating tournament for Scott Martin, particularly so on Day 1 when he had his hand on an 8-pounder that came unhooked at the boat. He set the hook on several other bass that day that came unbuttoned. But he’s overcome those frustrations with two consistent days on the Harris Chain, weighing 17-1 on Day 1 and 17-3 on Day 2.

Martin has started his day with this 3-pound, 12-ounce bass. Making Championship Sunday’s top 10 is definitely within reach. In the tightly bunched standings after Day 2, Martin was only 11 ounces out of 10th place and 6 pounds, 3 ounces behind leader Buddy Gross.
