Anglers splayed like a wildfire in The Delta

Finding individual anglers on the water this week is going to be a huge challenge. How huge? Picture this: Draw a rectangle 50 miles long and 25 miles wide and place it over The California Delta south of Sacramento. That would cover the 112 anglers in the tournament right now.

It ranges from Justin Lucas to the west and Kevin Hawk to the east – 25 miles apart, as the crow flies, and Nate Wellman to the north and Keith Combs to the south, 50 miles apart in a straight line distance.

Then consider all the rivers, creeks, canals, etc., you'd have to travel in going in to those extremes. As Tony Soprano would say, "Ay, maron!"
