Brandon Gray is continuing to build on a solid start. He's caught three largemouth bass weighing a total of about 6 pounds. And he's definitely on good fish, having broken off one and landed several that were just under the 16-inch largemouth minimum.
It's raining pretty hard now at DeGray Lake, coming down enough to send B.A.S.S. photographer Seigo Saito and his high-dollar Canon camera equipment to the DeGray Lake Marina takeoff site for a bit.
Seigo and his equipment can withstand a little rain, but there's no use taking the risk of keeping cameras and lenses dry when it's coming down like this.
The rain is forecast to slack soon, but you know how weather forecasts are, right? And the thermometer has moved all of two degrees since takeoff, from 42 to 44.
Brandon Gray is definitely not complaining about the weather.
