It's a relative term, but bass fishing is apparently picking up in the final hours today. Again, it's still pretty bleak, just like the weather, but Brandon Gray just filled his limit with a keeper spotted bass, giving him about 9 pounds.
And Todd Massey put his first keeper in the box, another keeper spot.
It appears Gray will have a leg up on the field going into the final day. Royce Davis is still stuck on two fish for about 4 pounds. Flannagan Fife still has that one 2 1/2-pounder.
But, to repeat, cell service might be an issue with some guys. As always, nothing is certain until the bass go on the scales beginning at 3:30 today.
